Hey, everyone! You can call me Drica Cestari. I am a middle-aged Brazilian woman that left my motherland to live my first experience in an exchange study. I confess it wasn’t an easy decision. I’m not in my twenties as the most of the students. I thought that I could suffer prejudice because of my age. But I was not afraid about this because I have a funny and free spirit. So I’m here to tell you my experiences abroad and some interesting things about Brazil to jolly you along.
I decided to make this personal blog when I was studying English at a school in Limerick, Ireland. I thought about our existence on Earth and what I had done until that moment. Living abroad changed me. I thought that I still have time to do something important in my life. Actually I have a Portuguese travel website that I’ve published posts since 2006.
I hope to encourage you to do the same. Time passes so fast. We don’t have all the time in the world. We are here for a short period of time. If you want to do something that makes you feel happy, do it.
Here I’ll tell you my impressions of the world, my feeling, my discoveries. I decided to make this blog in the English language to share it with more people. And I chose “Jolly Along” name for my blog to encourage people enjoy life.
See below the definition:
Verb 1. jolly along – cause (somebody) to feel happier or more cheerful. Font: http://www.thefreedictionary.com/jolly+along
Don’t worry what others think of you. Life is to be enjoyed… As I said:
I’m a restless traveler. I always say I’m a world traveler. Fortunately I’ve visited some countries and cities during my life. I also love making videos. I’ve ever made some videos before Jolly Along abroad. I have two YouTube channels: Jolly Along and Que Tal Viajar?
As a non-native English speaker, it’s very difficult for me to write in English as well. I need to check all the time if I wrote something wrong. My dream is to write a perfect English and fortunately I have all the time of my life to practice it on my blog.
The good way to turn this dream possible is to keep “Learning English” on Jolly Along. I can study English and teach other people learn English in the same time. I challenge myself to write better in English every day, to express better my feelings in writing and speaking. I think it’s never too late to learn a new language. It’s never too late to have fun. It’s never too late to live.
Sorry for my poor English and for my mistakes. I’ll be pleased if you show me my errors. Thank you! Drika
