When I arrived at Dublin airport I thought: I want to stay here. I’m very tired. I need to sleep in Dublin.
I traveled from Brazil to Ireland without taking a nap. I was exhausted but I couldn’t sleep in Dublin. I went to Limerick by bus.
Finally I arrived in my host family at 8 p.m. A lovely family that lives in Rhebogue neighborhood. A couple that live with their three kids and two dogs.
The first week was terrible for me. I arrived in Limerick on Tuesday but I started studying English at school just a week after my arrival. On Monday 30th, I did a test at school and on Tuesday I was in my first class, met my classmates and some teachers.
During those days before starting my English classes, I went to town every day and I was wet every day because it was raining all day long. Of course, I was sick. I was also worried because I hadn’t found any apartment to let. I checked the Limerick Post newspaper and I visited all the auctioneers.
Finally on April 3rd, I moved into my house. I found an excellent apartment with view of a park. It made me happy.
Nowadays I’m in Brazil. I had been studying English at school in Ireland for six months and I returned to Brazil on November 2015. I studied English in the course during the week and at home at weekends. I also traveled to some places during this time.
I think that it was a great experience. I improved my English and I learnt about Ireland culture as well.
